ABOUT VALERIE

Meet Valerie

Valerie Nifora’s literary career had an inauspicious beginning. A daughter of Greek immigrant parents, Valerie’s first language was not English. This hurdle hindered her in elementary school, but thanks to a teacher who insisted Valerie sit at the front of the room, she learned how to apply herself to her studies, eventually becoming an A student. That dedication to hard work carried her through high school and college and on to her career, and later on, a graduate degree.

For over twenty years, she has been a Marketing Communications Leader for a Fortune 50. She has served as a ghostwriter for several executives and has executed award-winning campaigns using her special gift as a storyteller to inspire others. Her love of writing and creativity has earned her more than twenty awards throughout her career.

The awards are still coming her way through her published works. Valerie’s book of romantic poetry, I Asked the Wind, was a Gold Award Winner from the Nonfiction Authors Association; Top 10 Finalist Global AEA Awards for Clean Romance, and Big NYC Book Awards Distinguished Finalist, all in 2020. Her classic romance novel, The Fairmounts, was a #1 bestseller and #1 new release on Amazon in July and August of 2022. In October 2022, it won an Honorary Award by Academy Author Elite.

Valerie holds a B.A. in Communications from Emerson College and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. She is married and a mother of two amazing sons.

Valerie is a member of the following organizations.
